The Process: The Home That Reflects Your Distinctive Taste
Each step is crucial to creating a seamless and efficient custom home-building experience that ensures that your vision is realized from start to finish.
1. Collaborate ideas for a new home.
The journey begins with an initial consultation to explore ideas for the new home. This is a brainstorming session to understand the vision, style preferences, and specific needs for you.
2. 1st visit with excavator.
The first visit with the excavator takes place to assess the land and prepare for the construction process. The excavator will survey the site, perform necessary excavation, and ensure the groundwork is properly set for the build.
3. Meet with draftsman and finalize plans.
At this stage, you will meet with a draftsman to refine and finalize the architectural plans. This step involves translating the initial vision into detailed blueprints, ensuring the design is both functional and meets expectations.
4. 2nd visit with excavator.
Finalize the excavation or perform additional work needed based on the finalized plans. This may include grading, trenching, or setting the foundation level to prepare for construction.
5. Sign documents. Submit financing and permitting.
Once everything is finalized, both parties will sign the official plans, specification sheets, and the contract. This marks the formal commitment to begin the construction process, outlining all the details regarding timelines, costs, and specifications. Submit all necessary documentation for financing and permitting as well. This ensures that the project meets local regulations and has the financial backing to proceed.
6. Collaborate with interior designer and build!
A talented interior designer helps guide you through selecting materials, finishes, and other design elements. The selections are made in a specific order to ensure smooth progress and avoid delays in the building process, with the designer managing each phase to keep the project on track.
